Biography of Timothy Donaghy

Timothy Donaghy is an Analyst with the Scientific Integrity Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. He received a bachelor's degree in physics from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago. His thesis dealt with observations and theoretical modeling of a type of exploding stars known as gamma-ray bursts.

His work at UCS has focused on investigating and documenting political interference in the work of government scientists at federal agencies from the FDA to NASA to the EPA.

Before joining UCS in 2006, he helped design an interactive exhibit to teach astronomy concepts to school-age children that is now on exhibit at museums in Chicago, IL and Mexico City.
